Four of us attempted this route on Sunday and it was much harder than expected. We were running out of time to complete the full route so decided to cut it short at the Stiperstones and returned to Church Stretton via Ratlinghope. We made a slight navigationial error there and ended back up on the Long Mynd rather than going back through All Stretton, so we ended up doing rather more climbing than we expected.

The majority of the roads are single track with passing spaces so you will probably have to pull in at times to let other vehicles pass. The gradient from the Long Mynd down to Asterton is 25% and the road surface is not too good. I would probably recommend avoiding that and will replan the route missing out this descent.
