A hilly ride round the Wrekin
Starting in Priorslee, this route is 24 miles but can be easily extended to incorporate places such as Wroxeter Roman city and vine yard or Attingham Park.
The Wrekin is really the only "hill" of any note in North Shropshire and at its highest point is about 1400ft above sea level. The route's main hill is from Ironbridge to Little Wenlock, a climb of about 600ft. Should you require a little refreshment to help you rehydrate, there is the Huntsman pub in the village, which you also pass on your way back.
At the moment the starting point is not quite right. It should be the car park 100 yds further down the road on the left hand side where you see the sign for the Priors Lodge pub (not the pub car cark which is up the hill).
